TERM 3 UPDATES:
The quality of the science fair exhibits and presentations were very pleasing. Particularly in the scientific investigations category.
All half year reports have been received and goals discussed for the remainder of the year, Many room 28 students are
basing their goals around improvement in the end of year tests, P.A.T., Schonell and the like. Results in term 4.
Our 'Music Inquiry investigations' have been fantastic. Students have investigated 'how music has influenced our
society' and we all have a greater appreciation of different music styles and genre. The quality of oral/ visual presentations
have been outstanding. The students are becoming great oral presenters. They supported their investigations using a variety of
visual and technological devices. Assessed presentations are now in each students portfolio.
Well done to the AIMS participants. Now they have had a chance to witness high competition it is hoped they continue to develop and improve their
skills.
Thanks to those r. 28 parents/caregivers who have volunteered to offer their services for yr.8 careers day.
Next term is a big term for testing, both here and for introduction to P.H.S. year 9 placement.
